Sights to See
The Columbian Gorge:
Spend an afternoon exploring the winding State Route 14, Multnomah
Falls and The Vista House just to name a few of the attractions that
will make traveling the Columbia Gorge an experience you will never
forget.
Mount St. Helens:
This mountain is the only active Volcano in the North West.
There are trails for hiking and areas for picnics. Check out
the visitors center where you can see the destruction of the 1980
eruption and how the mountain has been reborn from the ashes.
Mount Hood: If you are
looking for world class skiing or snowboarding you have found one of
the top rated slopes in the United States. Or you can spend
the day in Timberline Lodge and watch the snow fall outside.
Historical Sites
Fort Vancouver:
The fort is open to visitors year round. Make sure to check out
the monthly calendars because they often have reenactments and other
fun activities for the whole family.
Officers Row: Officers Row consists of 21 houses
located in a long row facing the Fort Vancouver Parade Grounds.
The historical homes, which includes a home of President Grant, are
beautiful and well worth touring.
Pierson Air Field:
The museum is located on one of
the nation's oldest airfields. Exhibits include vintage aircraft and
aviation memorabilia.
